I really enjoyed reading your post. I am thirty-two soon and have itchy feet that are ready to try out foreign soils.
It is a fear of leaving the security of the day to day grind of paying the bills and living a safe and non-challenging way of life that has put me on hold for some time.

Travel and experiencing a new culture really has put it into perspective, and filled that void with purpose (and joy).
In three weeks I’ll be moving to Paris myself for one month. I have the same feeling – the incredible surreal realization that I’m going to be living there…. it’s thrilling!!

Oh, Jenny! Escargot isn’t palatable — it’s delicious! I love your writing style; it’s so fun and energetic. Can you believe how far we’ve come? Everyone, Jenny and I were in the exact same industry and have known each other online and via work emails for years and years. But we’ve only met once, many, many years ago. And one of those jobs she was sleeping next to her BlackBerry for was one I’d just left. And now she’s 33 and living abroad, just like I was last year. Kindred spirits. Jenny, you’re a true inspiration — I can’t wait to see how your adventure unfolds!

I am a firm believer in living and working overseas, just as you described. However, many of us actually like our jobs and our homes and are simply looking to renew and refresh our lives, not change it. However, you can have the same type of cultural experience without having to reach into your own wallet and without having to quit your day job–by taking what I call a “working vacation.” My wife and I have done this 15 separate times, from Australia to Zimbabwe, Turket to Tibet, Mauritius to Mongolia. I'm also a member of Travel blog success and I have to say that it really is a valuable resource for bloggers, whether they are just starting or already have a blog. The course takes you through the right steps with easy to understand language, which is especially important for topics like SEO and engagement of you audience.
The hidden gem is truly the private forums, when you run a blog things go wrong, and having a tight community to rely on when you need help right away. Not to mention that networking with other travel bloggers will help you blog grow and help you become a better blogger.

Well, Ive been working over a year on my video diary blog of my life in France without making any income (although I do get a lot of compliments and nominations for awards) so I think I definitely need the course. But money is a problem as I moved to a foreign country in a small town with no jobs and can't speak the language! So I'll have to take my chances at winning. Thanks for the opportunity. Cynthia

Looks like Dave has set up a pretty decent course here. I would like to give it a try, but I don't have the funds right now. Although it does look like the course offers a whole lot, for not very much money. Anyhow, I could use the free subscription to better my current web site and develop a new personal travel blog in near future.

I've been at this travel blogging thing for slightly over three years now. I've had some success (up to about 12,000 uniques per month now) but I have to learn it all by trial and error. What a fabulous resource this is for travel bloggers. I'm sure I could learn a great deal and hope to win the subscription! But whether or not I win, I wish David Lee great success with this project.

GREAT IDEA ...I wish I would have thought of it! Thanks for the inspiration! Your program seems to offer the tools and ideas I have been seeking in revamping my current travel blog. After a year of travel without getting paid, I found myself broke and back in a cubicle trying desperately to pay off the last trip and save up for more adventures. Feeling restless with a bad case of the travel bug...I keep coming back to the question "How can I get paid while blogging about my travels?"
