Editorial Submissions

Tell me, I forget Show me, I remember Involve me, I understand This Chinese Proverb is a great way to describe the community at Meet, Plan, Go! and Briefcase to Backpack. We could easily tell you about the wonders of taking a career break and international travel, but that can easily be lost in translation. Instead, we want to show you through our personal experiences and stories. And more importantly, we want to involve you so that you can share your own experiences. All articles submitted to MeetPlanGo are reviewed by an editor, and only those deemed appropriate will be published. Please read the instructions below carefully in order to maximize your chances of publication as well as make your article look the best it can. Failure to properly follow the directions will result in your article being immediately dismissed.
Title	Readers love to know exactly where your story takes place, right in the title. If the location isn't in the main title, please add it to the end. Example: "Great Walls and Not So Great Walls - Beijing, China".
Author name	You can use your own name or a realistic-sounding pen name.
Email	You'll get confirmation of your story being uploaded, as well as confirmation once your story is actually published.

Article	Paste the body of your article here. Once the text is there you'll be able to make things bold, italic, or underlined, as well as in lists or block quotes. You can also add links to external sites and pages by highlighting the text in your story and then clicking on the chain/link symbol above in order to add the link information.

Teaser	Write a short teaser here that will make readers more interested in clicking on the link to read the whole story. Write it in the third person and include your name if you can. Example: "People from all over the world come to visit the Great Wall of China, but John Travelwriter recommends some other fascinating walls in Beijing that are just as entertaining."
Images	Photos are just as important to the story as the story itself. Please upload photos for your article below. Most articles we publish are at least 1000 words, so 3 or 4 photos are appropriate. If your article is longer, then more pictures will be necessary. We prefer landscape photos to vertical photos as they fit our pages better. All photos should be re-sized to 640px wide. Do NOT add any captions to the photos. To upload another image just click the Upload an Image button again and repeat the procedure. You can upload as many images as you like, but we'll only be able to publish as many as fit nicely in the overall layout. Once you submit the article, you should also email the photos to features@bootsnall.com.
